This session was so heartwarming and special to me as this sweet family recently lost their father/husband. This was also the first time they have ever had family portraits done. As I walked them to the location for their session, two monarch butterflies danced right over our heads. I pointed them out as it was unusual to see butterflies this far into the field. The sweet Mom, full of joy, then responded “we call my late husband our butterfly”. It was then that I noticed her gold butterfly necklace around her neck which she wore in his memory. Emotion swept over me. I knew this would be a uniquely special session.
It was truly an honor to be chosen to create these memories for this beautiful family. I pray they will bring comfort and joy to their home as they remember their beloved father and husband.
